Hi, my name is Kass Baker!

I grew up in Edwards, Colorado, where I spent every free

moment I had adventuring in the mountains and finding “peace in the pines!” Rain or shine,
I love backpacking, running, and playing with my Border Collie puppy, Arugula!
I am currently studying Early Childhood Education (ECE) at CSU. The ECE program
at CSU has provided me with so many meaningful experiences with children in various
settings throughout Fort Collins—River Song Waldorf School, O’Dea Elementary, and CSU’s
Early Childhood Center.
I am so thankful to be walking into this school year with you and your child! I’m
excited to get to know all of you, discover new things together, and learn more about what
it means to navigate this new learning environment. I hope my time at Shepardson, and
with your child, is a time where I learn more about what it means to create a space where
children feel valued and heard. I hope to work alongside, and learn from, Katelynn Austin
so that your child feels that the materials, knowledge, and connections within a traditional
classroom are accessible and authentic regardless of where we are. There are so many
unknowns and uncertainties right now, but I am committed to being a consistent point of
connection for your child.
Thank you for welcoming me into a space of exploration and learning with you and
your child!
