Beneficiary eligibility criteria:

 The household should be members of the community of the given kebeles

 Food insecure households who have faced continuous food shortage in the last 3 years
(emergency response dependent due to climate extreme events, drought)
 Smallholder farmers who own land (Both Male headed and Female Headed)
 Households without other project support

Supplementary criteria to assist the refinement of clients list:

o Status of the Household Asset: Land holding, quality of land, livestock holding, labor
availability
o Income from agriculture and non – agricultural activities
o Specific vulnerabilities: disabilities, household without any external assistance like
family support
