•  The figure shown a sign structure. This
sign was made using a front plate of steel
(mass= 8kg) and a cylindrical column
(outer diameter= 4 inches and inner
diameter= 3.5 inches). The base of the
sign is fixed using 4 cap screws of ASTM
A-36 steel. If the wind pressure over the
plate is 7 lb/ft2, calculate:

–  The column safety factor.

–  The minimum diameter of the each cap screw
using 2.5 as safety factor.
