  Rules for the Memorial Preparation (For Moot Court Competition)

Every memorial shall have a statement of facts, issues, summary of arguments,


jurisdiction, arguments advanced and prayers besides a record of authorities.

  The referencing procedure must be the Harvard Blue Book style of the latest
edition.
 The page range for the arguments advanced is between 3-8.
The maximum page limit for the memorial is 20 pages.
The students are required to use Blue Colour paper for the Petitioner/Plaintiff
and Red Colour paper for the Respondent/Defendant as cover page.

2. Formatting Style
 The memorial must be typed on standard A4 size paper.
 The font & size of the text of all parts of the memorial (excluding footnotes)
must be in Times New Roman12 font size. The text of all parts of each memorial
must have a line spacing of 1.5 with one inch margin on both sides.
 The text of footnotes shall be single spaced. The font size of footnotes must be
in Times New Roman 10 font size.

3. Memorial Submission
 The last date for memorial submission is 26th March-2018.
 The memorials for the given moot problem is to be submitted on the
undersigned’s email Id which is- rk_yadav@rmlnlu.ac.in
 One Hard Copy is also required to be submitted on 27 th of March, 2018 for
the allocated side by each team to the undersigned, for exchange of the
memorial to the opponent of each other.

 The teams have been already allocated the particular side for which they have
to prepare the memo on given moot problem and the marks will be deducted for
late submission as per the discretion of undersigned.

4. Exchange of Memorial
 The teams will get the memorial of their opponents from the chamber of
undersigned on 28th of March, 2018.

5. Oral Argument Round


 The announcement will be made for Oral Argument Round later which will be
conducted most probably within 15 days of Memo-Submission and Memorial
Exchange.
 The detailed rules relating to Oral Argument Round will be intimated in due
course.
