- Your Bachelor studies should be based on the pre education you have completed in
your country. You must first determine what you would like to study and then research
programs that are identical or similar and offered by different universities and colleges
in Germany. You have to be careful of the validity of your pre education as all
universities and colleges in Germany have standardized criteria. Basic information on
this can be found in the sources described above but also at the end of this ebook,
which some of the references will be provided where you can do your own research.

Germany. Master studies are more advanced and specific, so the requirements are
easier to be met than the language one which is almost the same. Depending on your
bachelor degree you can choose your master degree programs and the opportunities
for you to get a scholarship are greater than for your bachelor degree because of the
greater opportunities for employment and academic development. Many institutions,
private companies, but also different organizations or even universities and colleges
themselves offer different scholarship opportunities. You have to make your choice
depending on your financial situation and what you want to achieve.

2.3 PhD

- The PhD is a specific program, you can either select a program or even be

and have a valid employment contract. Of course learning German is a challenge in
itself as it requires a lot of dedication and seriousness.

creating new contacts, friendships and experience in Germany.

- Scholarships in Germany are one of the ways to negate lots of monetary burdens during
your journey of achieving your degree. Moreover, tuition in Germany-based
universities are absolutely free, you do not have to pay anything. For a specific and
heloful reference we would like you to visit the following website: https://www.dr-
walter.com/en/news/detail/article/dr-walter-supports-germany-scholarship.html

6.2 The organizations that provide the most popular scholarships are as follows:

- DAAD Scholarships - German Academic Exchange Service

- Erasmus +

- Heinrich Boll Scholarship
- Various developing companies
- Non-governmental organizations

- It is important for you to do research and take serious interest in it and we ensure you
that you will find the one that suits you.

7. Research Visit

7.1 German Visa !

- We recommend that if you are able to obtain a German Visa (for those who it is
required) visit Germany. While you were doing your research on universities you have
of course designated some places (cities) and universities with programs that interest
you. A research visit, although it can be costly will greatly help you to be clear if you
have made the right choice. Your choice will affect your personal life and your career
so a visit would be very helpful.

7.2 How to make an Research Visit ?

- If you need to have a visa then you must apply for such a visa by meeting all the criteria,
which sometimes is not simple especially the part of completing the paperwork.
However all you do will be worth it once you have a clear idea of where you will go and
what you will do (these are among the basic conditions of success).

7.3 Who can help you make such a Visit ?

- There are different ways to visit Germany as a tourist but from experience we prefer to
visit family, a friend or a co-worker in Germany. That will obviously save your budget
and it will make it easier if you do not have the linguistic knowledge.

10
- The other way is for you, through a student organization or something similar, to visit
Germany in group form in order to have the basic background information and to have
a more or less clear vision of the challenges that await you if you decide to study in
Germany.
