PARI RA LA

(Concept Paper for Film)

12-HUMSS Abueva production created a motion visuals that tackle politics, religion,

depression, suicide, family, drugs, sexuality, society, and gender identity. This film is about a boy

who is an ex-seminarian that will fall in love in two different person at the same time. The movie

aims to open the eyes of youth to wake up in this alarming situation of every day “walwal” that

includes drinking, smoking, sex, and drugs. His actions and bad choices would lead him to his end

— everything including his family relationship will be at risk. This is not just a story, this is more

than the reality of what the generation Z faces every day just to survive. This what keeps the blood

of sleeping running the whole time. This is the reason of smiles, laughter, and holding on.

The main goal of film is to create a visual art that will inform, educate, and entertain the

audience. The point is that it will be a medium to send ideas, and information in an aesthetic

modern way. This is important as the generation now is more inclined to visuals, something that

could connect to the senses especially in our eyes.

The film was made by 12-HUMSS B with the help of our subject teacher in Culminating

Activity. First, we chose how the story flows. Second, we planned. And lastly, we executed what

we imagined.

After the film making, we are more bonded. We spend almost morning to night together.

We traveled to different houses, and locations. We became more patient. We became more

understanding. We learned how to respect each other’s time and to spend time wisely. As to this

film, we concluded that it was a fun experience especially we are going to separate ways and face

college, new faces, another environment. In this film, we learned to comprehend others.
