This is my second time coursing this module, so I felt I had some experience.

I was excited
because I really enjoyed the course the last time. At the same time, I felt it was not going to be
the same because my last classmates finished the module except one of them, Pilar, who I
already knew from last year. From the very first day, it wasn’t difficult to form the group for
the rehearsals. I realised I knew most people in the class, so it was easy, and I felt relaxed in
some way.

We decided to make the play of Arden of Faversham since the plot was like a Mexican soap
opera and we found it funny. After having read the play, we decided the characters who were
going to appear in our adaptation. As in the play there weren’t many female characters, this
time I wanted to make the character of a man, since the last time I played the character of an
old woman. So, I chose the character of Greene, and we modulated him to be one of the hit
men of the play. We all imagined him a fool, the same as Shakebag, useless, in a comical way.
The appearance we put in this character was from the low-class, very vulgar, with a tracksuit
and light colours.

Acting like Greene has been very funny, a radical change for me since I have never acted like a
man. It has been difficult to get male attitudes and being so rude at the same time as silly. To
represent this character, I thought about two characters from a Spanish series, ‘Aida’, called
Barajas and Luisma. Both, Shakebag and Greene reminded me to them.

In general, we all had a lot of fun doing this play due to the fact it is a mixture between a
comedy and drama. Also, we did not have any problem when meeting for the rehearsals and
we did a very good job adapting the play and working in group.
