Chikomaru, this 5-year-old pup was a sweet corgi with a tail.

His fans couldn’t get enough of his endearing and silly photos! Wide-eyed and grinning broadly, it wasn’t
a shock that Gen became an online sensation. Playful and energetic, Gen’s hilarious facial expressions
already earned him around 140,000 Instagram followers.

Chikomaru shared how this charming pup loved being surrounded by people, especially if that meant
going on an adventure outside. Gen surprisingly had his share of challenging health, from having anemia
to getting convulsive seizures. Because of his various conditions, he was a regular clinic patient that
went through several medical procedures like dialysis and blood tests each week.

Regardless of his disorders, Gen still embraced life head-on and conveyed his genuine delight and
happiness to everyone he met. From sticking out his tongue to reach a slice of pizza to trying on a
variety of gorgeous doggy outfits, Gen’s zest for life inspired everyone who saw his photos. Images of his
naturally big smile were what this world precisely needed to fight off negativity.

Chikomaru firmly believed in the importance of staying positive. Despite the numerous treatments he
had to go through to survive, Gen and his family knew that loving each other was the key to having a
great and happy life.
