This procedure shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Distribution Safety Rules. 1.4 This procedure shall be carried out having regard to the requirements and recommendations of the manufacturer. If conflict exists between the requirements of the manufacturer and those of UK Power Networks the matter shall be referred to Asset Management. 1.5 This procedure assumes that the unit has been installed in accordance with the appropriate procedures. ‘Scope 24 This procedure applies to the configuration of the Remsdaq Callisto“ RTU. The Remsdaq Callisto" is used to provide remote control of all UK Power Networks approved secondary switchgear. 22 The commissioning procedure for the secondary substation is contained in the relevant substation commissioning document. 3 Glossary and Abbreviations Term Definition ADSL Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line APN Access Point Name (secure access to mobile comms networks) cT Current Transformer DNP3 Distributed Network Protocol PowerOn Electricity Network Management and Control ESN Electronic Serial Number EFPI Earth Fault Passage Indicator FPL Fault Passage Indicator GPRSISG/4G Mobile Comms Networks (Vodafone and 02) HMI Human Machine Interface RMU Ring Main Unit RTU Remote Terminal Unit ‘SHDSL ‘Symmetrical High-Speed Digital Subscriber Line © UK Power Networks 2017 All rights reserved 4 of 16 Remsdaq Callisto NX Configuration Procedure Document Number: ECS 05-9542 Version: 1.0 Date: 27/04/2017 4 Description 44 An overview of the main components of the Remsdagq Callisto“ is shown Figure 1 ATU heath RTULCO pane! aru Touch Screen Lecal/temote Nt swing trae Mains oator mounted behind swing frame Ike socket for laptop power Figure 1 ~ Calisto’ RTU Cabinet Layout 4.2 The Callisto™ has remote control and monitoring facilities for up to four switches or circuit-breakers (or a mixture of both). Each switch/circuit breaker to be controlled and / or monitored needs an umbilical cable connection between the equipment and the Callisto™* 43 Local control and monitoring is provided using the touch screen HMI. 44 The Callisto“ is mains powered with a battery back-up and is self-monitoring 45 The Callisto uses the DNP3 IP protocol to provide communication with PowerOn network management system for remote control and monitoring. Any appropriate IP compliant comms system can be used, such as: + 02 or Vodafone GPRS/3G/4G networks via the dedicated UK Power Networks APNs. Rented ADSL circuits, UKPN SHDSL circuits. UKPN Geostationary Satellite. These are directly wired to RTU switch 1 and RTU switch 2 4.9 Where RMU CT inputs cannot be provided to the RTU (old LPN spec RMUs for instance), or where additional FPIs are required, these can be facilitated using external FPI units connected to the RTU via the RMU marshalling box. ‘Sitch 11 Inputs — Switch 2 FP opus Figure 2— Switch 1 and Switch 2 FPI CT Connections © UK Power Networks 2017 All rights reserved 6 of 16 Remsdaq Callisto NX Configuration Procedure Document Number: ECS 05-9542 Version: 1.0 Date: 27/04/2017 4.10 Connections to plant and equipment are made using the sockets provided on the bottom of the RTU, see Figure 3. Comms Device Figure 5 Comms Device installed Connect the Comms Device power lead to the Comms Device and connector TB15, terminals 1 and 2 of the RTU. If using GPRS/3G/4G Comms: Connect the ethernet patch lead to Port A of the ‘System Bus module and to the comms device Ethernet port. If using PAKNET Comms: Connect the comms lead to the port labelled RS232 Comm 1 of the bottom of the black RTU unit and to the comms device serial port. If a risk assessment of the location allows, the aerial should be mounted outdoors, however if not the aerial should be mounted as high as possible within the substation. If the substation is underground, every effort should be made to place the aerial at street level, or as close as reasonably practicable. If using GPRS/3G/4G Comms: The Aerial feeder should be passed through one of the stuffing glands already installed on the RTU. The aerial feeder cable may need to be packed out (with insulating tape or something suitable) to ensure the stuffing gland can be tightened to form a good seal around the feeder cable. Itusing PAKNET Comms: The Aerial should be supplied with a stuffing gland already installed on the cable. Feed the cable and stuffing gland through one of the blanked 20mm holes on the bottom of the RTU. © UK Power Networks 2017 All rights reserved 8 of 16 Remsdaq Callisto NX Configuration Procedure Document Number: ECS 05-9542 62 63 64 65 66 67 68 Version: 1.0 Date: 27/04/2017 Callisto™ Configuration The Callisto NX RTU is pre-configured for the ‘hardwired’ I/O points and only requires configuration for the additional options that may be installed on a site by site basis, and the site specific RTU address. The Callisto NX Configuration Tool software is used to configure the RTU, set up the DNPS address and IP addresses, etc, and to check the status of the RTU. Ensure the Laptop is to set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP Client). Connect a laptop PC to RU 45 Config Port on the touch screen swing frame using a suitable Ethernet Patch cable. If the Laptop supports auto-crossover a standard Ethernet Patch Cable may be used to connect a laptop PC to the Callisto for configuration, if not a crossover Ethemet cable is required. DO NOT connect to the RJ 45 port on the touch screen itself. Open the Callisto NX Configuration Tool on the laptop. The box at the top of the Config Tool page displays the Commissioning Tool, Base Config and Firmware version numbers, make sure the Config and Firmware are the latest versions as available on Alfresco. If any of these are older versions, please refer to Appendix A to upgrade them. The Config Too! will search for any connected RTU and display the details on the screen. If more than one RTU is displayed, ensure you select the correct one (The RTU name should match the Power-On name). Select the desired RTU, type the following username and password into the relevant boxes. Username ukpn, password and select Connect.
