Cognizance of Offences—Noiwithstanding anything contained in the code of criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act No. V of 1898) no Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Ordinance except upon a complaint in writing, made by a Public Analyst or an Inspector or a person authorized by the Government. 4IB. Place and Procedure of trial -Nowwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898)— (a) an offence punishable under this Ordinance may be tried at any place within the local jurisdiction ofthe Pure Food Court: (b) an offence punishable under this Ordinance may be'tried summarily in accordance with, as far as possible, the provisions laid down in chapter XXII ofthe said Code. 41C.
