Chiefs of Quresh: “If you want money, we can give you enough to make you the richest
man amongst us. If you want to become a leader, we will make you our king. If you want
to have a pretty wife, we can find you the most beautiful in all Arabia.”
The Prophet: “O Quresh, I do not want any of these things. I am a Prophet of God. I have
been sent to you with a message. If you hear me, it will be to your good. If you do not I
will patiently wait on the Lord.”
The Quresh then asked him to change the dry sands of Mecca into green gardens.
The Prophet: “I am only a Prophet and servant of God. But if you obey God, you will
have the best of this world and of the life to come.”
To the north of Makkah at a distance of approximately 250
miles there is a city called Madinah.
Idolators of Madinah
Background

• Jewish people possessed superiority over Idolaters of Madinah in terms of

knowledge and religion, and were generally ahead in wealth and power as well,
and therefore, commanded a special influence over them.
• If an Idolater did not have any male children, he would vow that if a male child is
born to me, I shall make my first baby boy a Jew.
• Through Jews, the Idolater tribes of Madinah became somewhat aware of the divine
scriptures and prophetic dispensation. The Jews would say to them that a prophet is
soon to be commissioned. Upon his advent, by supporting him, we shall annihilate
the infidels and idolaters. He shall establish a powerful sovereignty, and by
following him, we shall become powerful, so on and so forth.
Consultation of about 100 men of the Quraish including a ‘Satan’ in
the person of an aged man named Najdī Sheikh
Dialogue:
An individual: Tie Muḥammad with iron chains and lock him up in a room that he may
stay there until death overtakes him.
Sheikh Najdī: This idea is not appropriate, because when Muḥammad’s relatives and
followers find out about this, they will surely attack and free him. Then this dispute will
progress even further.
Another individual: Exile Muḥammad. For if he is far from sight and leaves our city,
then what do we care as to where he goes and what he does? At least our city will find
deliverance from this disorder.
Sheikh Najdī: Have you not witnessed the sweet tongue, eloquent and enchanting
speech of Muḥammad? If he leaves unharmed, then know well that some other tribe of
Arabia will be lured into his deceit and will sweep forth against you and there shall be
nothing you can do about it.
These mutual discussions continued until Abū Jahl bin Hishām said:
Abū Jahl: My opinion is that one young man should be selected from every
tribe of the Quraish each, and they should be given swords. Then these people
should attack Muḥammad together as one man, and murder him. In this
manner, his blood shall be distributed throughout all the tribes of the Quraish,
and the Banū ‘Abdi Manāf will not have the courage to fight all the people.
They will have no choice but to accept his blood-money. As such, we shall pay
that.
Sheikh Najdī: If there is a proposal, it is of this man, for all else is rubbish. If
you wish to do something, then do as this man proposes.
God informed Holy Prophet (sa) through Gabriel (as) of Quraish’s evil
intentions. He was instructed not to spend the following night in Makkah.
Hadrat Abū Bakr (ra) had nourished two camels by feeding them the leaves of
an acacia tree in preparation of migration.
In the darkness of the night, the cruel Quraish from various tribes had besieged
the home of the Holy Prophet (sa) with their bloodthirsty intentions.
Holy Prophet (sa) invoked the name of Allāh, and left his home. At that time,
the besiegers were present in front of the Holy Prophet’s door. However, they
were in such a state of unawareness that the Holy Prophet left right through
their midst, leaving them in their ignorance, and they had not a clue.
The entire matter had been pre-settled with Hadrat Abū Bakr (ra), to meet en-
route, and reach Cave of Thaur. The cave is situated South of Makkah at a
distance of about three miles atop a wild and abandoned mountain, at a
substantial height. Its trail is also very difficult to cross.
The Entrance of Cave of Thaur
Holy Prophet (sa) is a WANTED MAN
An open announcement was made that whoever brings
Muḥammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) back, dead or
alive, shall be given a bounty of 100 camels
Even the chieftains of the Quraish
set out behind the Holy Prophet (sa),
and following clues, they precisely
reached the mouth of the Cave of
Thaur.
Their detectives said, “That is it.
The footsteps go no further.
Therefore, either Muḥammad is
hiding nearby, or he has flown to the
Holy Prophet (sa) spent three days in the
Cave of Thaur.

Upon his departure

from there, the Holy
Prophet (sa) cast a
final glance towards

A migration in our times…
To the north of Makkah at a distance of approximately 250
miles there is a city called Madinah.
On Thursday, April 26th, 1984,
the Chief Martial Law Administrator and the President of Pakistan,
General Zia-ul-Haq introduced
‘The Anti-Islamic Activities of the Quadiani Group, Lahori Group and
Ahmadis (Prohibition and and Punishment) Ordinance, 1984’
thereby criminalizing the life of Ahmadis in Pakistan.
One motive was to cripple the Jama’at of Promised Messiah by
putting the Khalifa in Jail perpetually.
Six seats were booked on KLM flight from Karachi leaving very early
in the morning on Monday, April 30th.

Rabwah and all its entry/exit points were under the surveillance of
five different security agencies of General Zia.

Huzoor insisted that there should be no lies or duplicity about his

departure. He would not be disguised nor use a false passport.
Shortly after Fajr prayers, Huzoor’s regular car left Rabwah with
Huzoor’s brother dressed in achkan and turban sitting in the back seat.
The car had its normal escort with Huzoor’s personal security sitting
inside. It was presumed that Huzoor was on the way to Islamabad,
some 200 miles away.
At 2 a.m., two other cars had left Rabwah. They took a minor road
and finally got on to the main highway to Karachi, which was 750
miles away. In the first car were Huzoor’s security staff. In the second
car was the Huzoor.
Only those who had absolute need to know knew. Most members of
Huzoor’s family did not know to prevent any accidental slip out.
Shortly after the decision of how and when he would leave - which
was in two days’ time - a letter was delivered from Usman Chou
(Chinni) sahib. Chinni sahib had had a dream that he did not
understand, but which he believed contained some kind of message
for Huzoor. In his dream he had seen that the Khalifa’s car was about
to leave for Islamabad. He had approached in order to pay his
respects, but when he looked in the side window he saw that the car
was empty.“I was shocked and cried out…Then a voice told me that
the Khalifa had left by another route and that he had gone abroad….”
That was the secret plan!
Usman Chou Sahib passed away in 2018

Huzoor (atba) said, “I recall when he

would pray for forty days at Kallar Kahar
during the time of Hazrat Khalifatul
Masih II (ra). I also visited him there
when I was young and saw him seated in
a small room with the Quran in hand. He
would pray there, so we – the children
and adults – also requested him to pray
for us. He would respond with a smile on
his face and in a loving manner.”
