Shri Narendra Modi
Prime Minister
South Block,
New Delhi.
Dear Prime Minister,
‘write this letter to bring to your attention a widespread public concern,
about the case of unnatural death thought by many as murder, of cine actor
Sushant Singh Rajput. | am bringing this matter to your notice since the
administrative responsibility for the CBI is now with the Prime Minister, and CBI
's Investigating the matter, after a Patna FIR was assigned by the Supreme Court
to the CBI,
The doctors of Dr. Cooper Hospital in Mumbai had conducted as autopsy
on the body of Sushant Singh Rajput and concluded death was a suicide, despite
many lapses and irregularities. The Mumbai Police was also complicit in this
matter.Thereafter, because of the general outcry, and a PIL, the there a Supreme
Court directed CBI probe The Agency thereafter asked the AIIMS Forensic
Department to assess to Mumbai hospital post-mortem findings.
A Special Committee was constituted consisted of three AIIMS doctors,
with Dr. Sudhir Gupta Head of the Department of Forensic Sciences, as
Chairman, to review the findings of the Dr. Cooper Hospital’s autopsy report.
Dr. Sudhir Gupta did not personally participate in the Review in the Dr.
Cooper hospital. The three committee members went to Mumbai. Thereafter
Dr. Gupta forwarded to the CBI the Review Report of the Committee, which
concurred with the findings of the Cooper Hospital post-mortem and upheld its
finding that Sushant Singh Rajput had indeed committed suicide.
In its Report, the Special Committee detailed several lapses in the conduct
of the post-mortem. Yet, it agreed with the findings of the doctors of the Dr.
Cooper Hospital.
Dr. Gupta also did not forward copies of the Special Committee Report to
his Seniors in the Ministry of Health - not even to its senior most official, the
Secretary; nor to the Head of the Medical Board of the AIIMS. But he sent the
Report directly to the CBI, since he felt the CBI had directly asked him to
conduct the review.3
The Special Committee also disregarded the main Guidelines of the 2001
Report prepared for the National Commission for Human Rights by former
Supreme Court Judge Mr. Ramaswamy, which Report laid down these
Guidelines, which is easily accessible by your office if needed.
Hence, to restore the confidence of the public on this justifiably highly
emotive and sensitive subject, viz the mysterious death of cine actor Sushant
Singh Rajput, you may please consider directing the Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare to ask the Medical Board of the Mi
ry to scrutinize the Report
of the Special Committee for Review of the post-mortem; and thereafter to take
appropriate steps to restore public confidence. The Standing Committee of
Parliament for Health & Family Welfare could also hold in-camera hearings of a
small sub-committee, if you approve.

Yours Sincerely
