 One day, Ah Meng kicked the ball

hard to score goal. But he missed.

The ball landed in the bush behind

the goal posts.

 He ran into the bush to collect the
ball.
“Miaw! Miaw!” he heard.
There were three little kittens in the
bush.

 “Oh you poor little kittens. Where is
your mother?” he said.
Ah Meng took the ball and went
back to play with his friends.

 Suddenly, it rained heavily. All the
boys ran home except for Ah Meng.
He remembered the three little
kittens.

kittens home. They were soakingly

wet. And so was Ah Meng.

a towel. Then he took a hairdryer
and blew them dry. Later, he gave
the kittens some milk.

mother. “I think you should take
them back. Their mother may be
looking for them,” said Ah Meng’s
mother.

the bush. He waited for the kittens’

mother to come. There was no sign

of the kittens’ mother.
