MEMORY STRATEGIES} EMPLOYING ACTION

USING PHYSICAL RESPONSE OR SENSATION:

Physically acting out a new expression (e.g., going to the

door), or meaningfully relating a new expression to a physical

feeling or sensation (e.g., warmth).

USING MECHANICAL TECHNIQUES:

Using creative but tangible techniques, especially

involving moving or changing something which is concrete, in

order to remember new target language information.

Examples are writing words on cards and moving cards from

one stack to another when a word is learned, and putting different

types of material in separate sections of a language learning

notebook.
