Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters,

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullah

As we know that Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Dr Keith Rowley has announced that a second limited lockdown will
be imposed from Monday 17th August for 28 days. As part of lock down, “all places of worship will be closed”, therefore we
would like to advise our Muslim brothers and sisters as follows:

1. It is our duty to adhere to the guidelines of Prime Minister and Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago with regards to
Covid 19 restrictions.

2. Adhan should be called for five times a day adding this word: ‫الصالة ف بيوتكم‬

“Pray at home.” And masjid will be closed to the public until further notice.

3. On the day of Jumua'h, you should pray Zuhur Salah at home alone according to Hanafi Madhab since government has
announced closing the places of worship, hoping that Allah will reward us the thawab (blessings) of congregation.

4. We should consider the restriction imposed due to Covid 19 as a Rukhsah (exception or release) from necessity of
attending the Jamaat at our Masajids

PLEASE ENSURE YOU WEAR YOUR MASK WHENEVER YOU ARE IN THE PUBLIC.
