STS/E/Data logger/Val XX dated 15.09.11 was circulated to the divisions and construction units vide this office letter referred above. It was advised to take Necessary action to strengthen the data logger network in accordance with the RDSO's guidelines. Vide CSTE’s D.O. letter of even no. dated 22.11.2011 ‘it was emphasized to implement these on priority However, while perusing the daily ‘exception report of the divisions, it is revealed that Still the validation is not completed in Some sections. It is also noted that the fault analysis software has not been updated for generation of the exception reports in accordance with the suggested logic for faults as given in Aonex-4 of the RDSO’s letter referred above. Just to illustrate, the fault I for “Passing on defective / danger signal” has been suggested 16 be updated so as that in case of a movement on subsidiary signals below the iain signal like on calling on signal, Shunt ‘Signal etc. this fault is not counted. Likewise Uupdation of logic for faults- signal flying back to danger, fusing of signal lamp ete has becn suggested by RDSO which should be incorporated, For a quick reference, Annexure-4 of the above RDSO’s guidelines is enclosed, SrDSTE"s should specifically cross check section wise and if the logic suggested by RDSO is not yet implemented in the fault application software loaded on the CMU the control office, the same must got done urgently. Sending the faults to maintenance staff by SHS: Sending SMS to the concerned maintenance staff and officers as soon as the failure has occurred reduces the MTTR and detention to train services.
