INTRODUCTION
The introduction of this SRS provides an overview of the entire SRS with purpose,
scope, definitions, acronyms, abbreviations, references and overview of the SRS. The aim
of this document is to analyze & explain an in-depth insight of the complete COLOR
BASED SORTING MECHANISM by defining the problem statement & where it can
be used.

1.1 Purpose:
The purpose of the proposed project is to build an easy to use mechanism which can sort
products based on their color. The mechanism will be capable of sorting items based on
the input colors. Also, it can be used to sort a variety of items of different sizes &
shapes. Its major needs is in the places where items are bought in huge stock & where the
chances of those items being defective is 5% to 10%.

1.2 Scope:
The scope of the proposed product is in the variety of fields. Some of them are given
below:
1. Vegetable vendors: When they buy vegetables in lot, then they can use this
machine inorder to sort which items are rotten & which are not. Eg: We can
distinguish a fresh tomato(red color) & rooten one with (blakish red).
Not only tomato; it can be used on Onions, pea, etc.
2. Cereals: Wheat, Rice, Dal, etc.
3. Mall Games: There are games in mall which require different colors of ball &
each player owns a color & they have to aim at an object. When the game is over,
balls remain mixed, so we can use this machine to sort them & put them into their
respective baskets.
4. Industry : There are companies which make different color products & they
provide customer with a predetermined set of colors in a single set.
Eg : Soap, Gems.

2. Requirements:
2.1 Functional Requirement:
1. Couple of Servo motors to build a rotating mechanism while sorting the items. We can
use Light or Heavy work Seevo motors based on the weight of the product we wish to
sort.
2. Nano Aurdino will be used to input the required code. This will instruct the machanism
to adjust its speed of rotation, color (hash color code) to sort, degree of rotation.
3. Color sensor is used to detect different colors on the basis of light emitted.
4. Others: Hot Glue Gun, Cardboard, et.
