1. What do you think has been the role of literature in shaping our history?

- Literature it is the freedom of speech, express our opinion in our society and humanity. Literature is
telling us on what happening back then that's why they have the big role in literature in the philippines.

2. From the given list of representative authors from each other region, who among these author
interest you to read their works the most? Explain why.

- The Dead Star by Paz Marquez Benitez. It is a short story but the story is full of emotion. It's all about
love and believe in first love and hope to find one in his life.

3. In your own opinion, do Spanish, American and Japanese influence helped in building our identity as
Filipinos as reflected in our literature?

- Yes, all of them are the big part of our literature even though they occupied us. Because we still adopt
their religion, culture, language and education.

What do you think the best way to give literature more emphasis in education and further utilize and
appreciate it?

- To encourage everyone that literature is fun. Because literature is sharing and showing on what
happening around the world. And it allow us to express our life and emotions in this literature.
