Acquisition of English vocabulary Via Yotube at Children

Research Questions:

 Does YouTube enhances English vocabulary acquisition at children (6-

10 years) ?
 Does Youtube enhances English fluency at children (6-10 years)?

Data Collection

Data was collected from 100 mothers who had children between 6-10 years
of age. The inclusion criteria were university-degree mothers with children
(6-10 years) who listened to Youtube videos for 5 hours at least weekly for
the past 3 months. A questionnaire was designed to check if the mothers
noticed any enhancement in the vocabulary of their children. The
questionnaire also contained questions about whether they noticed that their
children began to pronounce English sentences fluently. ALSO, Data was
collected through a simple test that was introduced to the children before the
3- month period and after it. The test contains vocabulary and asks the
students to select the best meaning for the word from a list. The test will
show If the children get benefit of Youtube videos in expanding their
vocabulary or not. The answers to these questions will give us a deep look at
the effect of watching Youtube videos on learning. The two ways (
questionnaire and test) will provide us with data that will be analyzed to
answer the research questions.
