I have really enjoyed humanities classes throughout high school,
because I love to discuss and debate topics I find interesting. I
love to learn about other people's points of view and try to understand the way that other people think.
I would like to study international relations because, in the
future I hope to help solve big world problems by working together with, people from different cultures and life experiences than me. I find politics and different forms of government incredibly interesting and I think understanding them is the key to a more peaceful future. I hope to one day have a career that allows me to make a big impact in solving global problems.
I worked on a project called, the 2050 project for 2 years, where
two of my peers and I competed with other small groups from our school for the opportunity to fly to Calgary and be mentored on a personal passion project. Our project was creating a Distribution Firm for biodegradable single-use utensils. I also teach ballet and musical-theater style dance at Once Upon a Ballet and Musical Theater Center along with assisting them with their plays and productions. I work at the front desk of my dance studio, where I registere people for classes, and take payments. I also work at Dancestyle Dancewear, sizing people for dance shoes and selling dance clothing. I am a member of many clubs at my school including, Girl up, Baking for Charity, and International Thesbian Society. I am very passionate about the environment, and I am very involved in the Green team at my school, which has worked to reinstate a recycling program.
