The steps:

● Listen to what you're transcribing a lot, until you can play it in your head, singing it is
helpful too.
● Tune up, make sure your guitar is in tune, do some guitar maintenance once in a while.
● Pause after every note, one note at a time, the last thing you hear stays in your ear
● Write it down with pencil and paper, when you get more advanced write the rhythm with
it
● Rest, don't over do it your ear gets tired too
● Play the transcription against the original recording
● It's okay to make mistakes, transcribing is hard, expect to suck in it, but it's okay you'll
get better
● Check your transcription with other tabs and songbooks
● Analyze your transcription try to understand why they played this and that.
