DIALOGUE

SMALL INTRODUCTION
Peace and Well in Christ and Mary, Miss Edith
In this video we’re using some of the quantifiers like: a few, a little, how many, how
much, any and some. Where the participants of the dialogue are the students:
APARCO MARTINEZ Valeri Mirella and FELIX AMORETTI Abel Francisco. The video
has a context of an everyday situation, which is when we make the grocery shopping
list.

“THE GROCERY LIST”


A: Hi Valeri …Do we have any milk in the fridge?

V: Hi Abel…. mmm…A little. Why?

A: Because tomorrow I will go shopping at the supermarket…Tell me, What do


we need?

V: Great, We need a lot of tomatoes and onions and two packs of spaghetti
for tomorrow's lunch. Tomorrow my family will visit us.

A: That sounds good …How many tomatoes and onions do you need?

V: I think I will need 1k tomatoes and 1k onions.


A: Do we have any cans of soda or beer in the fridge?

V: mmm… one minute…We have few cans of beer and we don't have any
soda. Can you bring some cans of soda or lemonade, please?

A: Ok no problem. Also, I'll buy some extra cans of beer .... Hey ... Can you
check what's in the pantry?

V: There are a few cans of atun, some boxes of cereal and we don't have
any snacks.

A: I'll buy some snacks or some cookies. Okay?

V: It's ok for me no problem but don't buy any chocolate, you know I don't like
chocolate.

A: I know, I will buy a lot of food to fill the refrigerator.

V: Hey, Don't forget to buy the milk. How much money will you need to do
grocery shopping?

A: Uhmm I'll tell you in a few minutes. I'm doing the math.
V: Don't worry, I hope.
