1. Pursuing Medicine was my own choice and it was my “teenage” dream because I recently
decided to study Medicine when I was in high school choosing a program in college. I am
more into the Sciences and I wanted to work in the hospital. I want to become a doctor
because I want to be the first doctor in my family. I think that this is also my contribution
to the country by serving my fellowmen, especially in our province which is Marinduque.
There have been some issues regarding lack of healthcare professionals in the hospitals in
our province.
2. If I did not pursued Medicine, I would become a researcher or work in laboratories. I
prefer working in laboratories than having an office work. I can also opt to work as
teacher in high school.
3. My premed course was Biology in University of Santo Tomas. UST was my dream
school ever since I was in high school because we always pass by it and I remembered
wishing to enter that school. I chose Biology because it left me with no choice but to
pursue Medicine. I felt that there would be no way out but to go to med school because
there is not much career in Biology that really interests me.
4. After passing the medicine licensure exam, I want to continue straight to residency. If
not, I am interested to become a junior faculty in San Beda College of Medicine as a way
of paying it forward to the school that molded me and for me to earn some money to help
my parents.
5. As a future Bedan doctor, I expect that I am molded with skills and attitude to become a
