Nursing research
1. What is the importance of research in the nursing profession?

Nurses need research because it helps them advance their field, stay updated and offer
better patient care. It improves clinical expertise and personal knowledge, helps to implement
changes to provide excellence in nursing care. Information literacy skills can help nurses use
information more effectively to develop their conclusions and actions.

2. As a nursing student, how can I immerse myself in the world of research?

The nursing profession requires research to be a part of everyday life. Being


involved/engaged in the process of research and exercising an analytical mind are two of the
many ways to be immersed into research. As a nursing student, being immersed in the world of
research will help me improve and build more skills. It will also help me prepare for the
professional world.
