The COVID-19 pandemic that we are facing today lays a number of realizations.

It exposes how
we are as leaders and how we are as followers. It is indeed a challenge not just to the heads of our
country but to everyone, no one is exempted. Our leadership has been put into test as the head of the
jail bureau of this region. With three (3) jails located in Davao City alone; Davao City Jail, Davao City Jail-
Annex and Davao City Female Jail, and having 231 cases of Cvid-19 cases in the entire city, many feared
it might enter into our facilities.

Implementing the proactive means possible has been our main steps to prevent its entry in our
facility. Lockdown, precautionary measures such as hand washing, disinfection, thermal scanning are
just some of the steps we took. Having an enemy that cannot be seen by our naked eyes or with
detection that takes time, the hazard and threat against it is so serious that we must be very careful with
our every action. Each one is possible caries of the virus
