The line graph depicts information about the total books studied by people according to their genre

along four years at Burnaby Public Library.

As can be seen, at the beginning of the studied period there was a wide margin between the numbers of
books checked by women upon the number of books studied by men. But on the contrary, at the end of
the period in 2014, the trend became totally opposite.

Over the three first years, the number of books checked by men experimented a substantial increase. In
2011, male people only studied a little more than 2000 books. But in 2013, this quantity rose just up to
10.000 books. Meanwhile, female people showed only a slight growth in the quantity of books read
going from 5000 until 10.000. Finally, in the last year, the behavior regarding men and women was
totally different. While men's trend continued growing until getting just 16.000 books in 2014. Women's
trend plummets slightly under 10.000 books.

To sum up, both female and male people presented a rise in the number of books throughout the first
three years. This trend changed dramatically in the last year. Men end up reading more books than
women whose tendency was totally contrary that at the beginning.
