A PM procedure is performed ‘on Desktop printers every 1000 printing hours, or once a year, whichever comes first. tt document contains a list of the PM kit contents as well as a checklist for performing the PM procedure, ‘As you perform the PM procedures, remember to reset the maintenance counter. When you are finished, verify that the “PM is Due" alert does not appear in the printer interface. N Page 2 of 6 SY Stratasys Preventive Maintenance Procedures Preventive Maintenance Procedures For some of the following procedures you might need to refer to the Service Manual. The Service Manual is available on the Partner Zone. Roller Assembly For the following procedures, refer to "Roller Assembly Servicing" in the Components and Assemblies section of the Service Manual. Check the roller surface. If it is rough, smooth it. Clean the roller surface using isopropanol and a cloth, Remove the roller waste collector assembly and clean the surrounding area. oooa Inspect the two new roller waste collector assemblies supplied in the kit to make sure that the roller blades are straight and that there is grease on the back side of each of the roller waste collector blades. 11 Replace the roller waste collector assembly with @ new one, and leave the second roller blade assembly with the customer as a spare. Make sure that the three roller waste collector drain tubes are in place. Wiper Assembly For the following procedures, refer to "Wiper Assembly Servi the Service Manual. the Components and Assemblies section of 1 Replace the wiper blade using the Wiper Cleaning Wizard. Make sure you seal the front end of the wiper waste collector with Molykote Dx paste (grease). Check if the wiper needs adjustment. If necessary, adjust the wiper. Verify that the heads are dry after purging. Clean the wiper waste collector (bath). oooa Grease the T-motor lead screw with Molykote® 33 paste (grease). Material Pumps O Replace the two material filters (Model and Support). Note: Make sure you connect the inlet and outlet ofthe filter correctly. To avoid leaks, make sure that filter tube fittings are closed firmly. 1. Replace the material and waste-pump tubes. IMPORTANT: Make sure you connect the suction and the pressure sides of the pumps correctly. 11 Purge the print heads two times. 1 inspect the tube connections and make sure that there are no leaks. DOC-04005 Rev. N Page 3 of 6 ‘Objet Desktop Printers Preventive Maintenance Procedures Print Heads 11 Clean the print heads using the Head Cleaning Wizard 1. Inspect the orifice plates for peeling and other problems. 11 Perform the Pattern Test Cartridge Drawer 1 Calibrate the load cels for both full and empty weight levels If necessary, re-calibrate. Note: Make sure that the cartridge drawer is closed during the calibration process. 1 check the waste container. If itis full, replace it. Inspect the needles. Make sure they are straight and firmly installed, and that the black rubber domes at the base of the needles are in place. Vacuum System For the following procedures, refer to “Vacuum Panel Calibration” in the Calibrations section of the Service Manual. 1 Check the vacuum system measurements and calibrate if necessary. 11. check ifthe vacuum-sensor reading matches the measured vacuum level. If not, calibrate the sensor. UV Lamp For the following procedures refer to "UV Lamp Calibration" in the Calibrations section of the Service Manual, (inspect the black strip in the UV reflector. If the black paint is faded, replace Clean the glass lens of the UV lamp assembly with the special 3M cleaning pad. Calibrate the UV lamp intensity. Axes For the following procedures, refer to "X-axis Encoder Reader Alignment" in the Calibrations section of the Service Manual. Make sure that the X, Y, and Z axes move smoothly and easily. Verify the X encoder zero position. Inspect the cables and tubes. Make sure that the cables are firmly connected. Inspect the X-chain and Y-chain (Igus) hoses and cables for mechanical damage. oooaa Grease the Z-axis lead screw with Molykote® 33. DOC-04005 Rev. N Page 4 of 6 2! Stratasys Fans Fans 1 Turn on the model and UV cooling fans (Maintenance > Actuators & Sensors Control). Inspect the fans and make sure they are working properly. Turn off the model and UV cooling fans Head Driver Cards Tum off the electrical box fan (Maintenance > Actuators & Sensors Control), replace the filters for the head driver cooling fan, and turn on the Electrical Box Fan. Printer Calibrations (Transparency Test) 1 Print the Transparency Test and check printer calibrations using the printed sheet. Make adjustments, as necessary. For instructions, see “Transparency Tests” in the Calibrations section of the Service Manual. Model-material Tubes 11 check that the model-material tubes are in good condition, and in particular, that no shrinking has occurred. If necessary, lengthen the tubes or replace them as instructed in “Material Tube Replacement” in the Components and Assemblies section of the Service Manual. General 1 Remove and clean the Z-axis shaft cover. Inspect the printer for leaks and clean any spills. Inspect the entire 3D printing system and the surrounding area. o o 1 Replace the odor fitter. check the Zstart o Review the operator maintenance procedures with the operator. DOC-04005 Rev. N Page 5 of 6 ‘Objet Desktop Printers Preventive Maintenance Procedures Printing Parameters Forte following procedures, referto "Weight Test’ in the Calibrations section ofthe Service Manual. 1 Calibrate the printing position. 11 Perform a weight test and adjust the head voltage. Note: As you perform the weight est, check the printed tests for blocked nozzles. Run the Heads Filling Calibration wizard. CO. Send a test job to print. Printer Software 11 onthe printer computer desktop, double-click BackupData. This saves a backup copy of the Modes and Confgs files. 1 Restart both computers DOC-04005 Rev. N Page 6 of 6
