Using the definition of a service, explain why a Decision Model is a good starting point as a
candidate service in a service inventory.
 Most common service roles are task services and information or data services and the
Decision Model is a good starting point as a candidate service in a service inventory
because it provide a distinct way to respectfully separate business logic, perhaps at a
granular level which can be rolled up into appropriate decision services, based on all of
the characteristic of good quality services.

2. Differentiate fine-grained from the coarse-grained services. Use your own concrete examples in
differentiating them.
 Services can be fine- grained or coarse –grained level. A fined-grained service provides a
small amount of information to a task for example, a loan applicants information or a
conclusion about a loan applicant’s risk. At the coarse level, multiple decision services
can be used in a task service composed of many different service. For example a task
service, decision service, and corresponding entity service maybe be bundled into one
composite service which should be based on size, volatility ,and reusability of Decision
Models as a starting point.
3. Explain the quote relative with our topic- “A doctor an bury his mistakes but an architect can
only advise his client to plant vines”-Frank Lloyd Wright
 There are different approaches used in field services. It would easy to solve some
issues if there are internal and arrangement done; however, there are some problems
that just need to be modified but this would require a careful explanation why and how.
In relation to business, it is necessary to track back the source of the problem, but the
main goal is how the problem can be turned into an opportunity.
