Our School Trip to Windsor Castle

Our last school trip 3 _____________ to Windsor Castle. Windsor Castle is one of the
Queen’s homes, but she only stays there at weekends. We 4 ____________ there on
a Monday, so the Queen and her family 5 ____________ there. They 6 ____________
at Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s home in London.
There 7 _____________ many beautiful chairs and carpets in Windsor Castle, but my
favourite thing 8 _____________ Queen Mary’s doll’s house. It 9 _____________ a
gift from the people of England to the Queen May, the wife of George V, in the
1920s. Most doll’s houses are toys for children, but Queen Mary 10 ______________
a child at the time. She 11 _______________ an adult. The doll’s house and the items
in it 12 _______________ miniature copies of Windsor Castle and the real things in it
– furniture, curtains, lamps, bottles of wines and even toilet paper! The miniatures
