and personal interaction skills, using his
own experiences about sports.

Presentation of sports vocabulary (listening)

We will have a fun box from which take out the flashcards that contain images, to
create expectation in the children. When we have taken the first we can ask the
students what the sport activity is called in english. If they don’t guess we will get
another one, and so on until we present all the words.
A second time, we will teach the kids the flashcards one by one, telling them the
name, so that they repeat it and become familiar with the new words. Then we can
teach songs that allow us to strengthen the sport vocabulary presented.

Finally we will teach the children a song that contains the vocabulary of the topic. We
can distribute the different flashcards. Every time a boy or girl hears his word in the
song, he will raise his flashcard for all to see. Another option is to stop the music just
before the song says each word. We will show the corresponding flashcard in this
pause and the children will have to say the word aloud. They will correct themselves
by putting the song back on.

Invisible words (speaking)

We put the flashcards online on the board. We point to each one as the students say
the words. We remove an image, but keep pointing it out for the children to name.
We remove another, and so on until the children say all the words while the teacher
points to the "invisible images." It is a useful activity to work memory.
