With a large number of books in Kannada being published, as a reader I find it has

become difficult to keep track of the books being released. Most of the publicity
for the book as well as launch event happens on social media. Once the launch is
done, the book disappears into oblivion unless efforts are made by publishers and
authors to keep it in news. Even if a reader wants to find information about the
book, it will be difficult.

Keeping this in mind I am planning to launch kannadapukstaka.net which will just

have information on the books. The site will have the following

1. Details about the book

2. About the author
3. The Publisher
4. Cost of the book
5. Front cover of the book
6. how to pay/buy the book

The above information will be both in Kannada and English.

A beta prototype of the site is currently on kannadapustaka.net/beta. I have

uploaded front covers of a few books though no details have been uploaded.

If you are a publisher or an Author, please send me the following details which
will be uploaded to the site.

Publisher: Details about Publisher(min 100 words)

Names of books published and description of their authors(100 words)
Description of each of the books(100 words)
Cost of each of the book . INR
Front Cover, Back cover(separately) of the book (size 660 x 900 pixel each, .jpeg
image only)
Year of Publication, reprints if any.
Media coverage if any(newspaper clippings, interviews etc, .jpeg image only)
Please send the descriptions in Kannada(English too if possible)

The site will undergo further customization from its current form.Everything will
be in English as well as Kannada. Site will go live once we have details of atleast
50-60 books.

There is no cost involved to either the publisher or the author, except for sending
details in the format mentioned above.
