Govt. of India Department Space Indian Space Research Organization Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun IIRS Outreach Programme Ref No. IIRS/GIT&DL/External/01/2018 Date: August 27, 2018 Following guidelines are issued to conduct Live & Interactive Programmes (also Known as EDUSAT) under IIRS Outreach Programme: 4. The registrations of Institutes/Organization/universities/Department will be through online mode only. The nominated coordinator from respective Institutes/Organization/Universities/Department will register in IIRS website before commencing of the course. 2. The coordinator will receive user name and password for IIRS Coordinator Management System (CMS) and A-view software through email 3. The. coordinator will verify the student's records under his/her Institute and accordingly approve/reject the participant (s). 4. The Approved participant (s) will receive a user name and password for lIRS Learning Management System (LMS) through email 5. After login to the CMS, the coordinator can change the password, receive the live programme, submit and check the attendance, update own profile, update/edit student's data etc. 6, All the course contents, updates, schedule and examination status will be available in lIRS websites and LMS. 7. The 70% attendance of the Institute and participant will be mandatory to appear in an online examination to get the course completion certificate. 8. All the participating Institutes/Organization/universities/Department has to mandatorily login through A-view or CMS during the session. The attendance of the Institute will be marked on daily basis. 9. In case of any technical failure the Institutes can play 20% of total sessions in offiine mode through CMS. The software will automatically calculate the total duration of class conducted in offline mode and mark the Institute attendance accordingly. 40. The coordinator can submit the attendance of the participants only on the dates where his/her Institute attendance is marked as “Present” by the software/IIRS. 11.To make the programme more interactive and leamer cenitic, it is decided to connect the participating Institutions in video wall mode during the interactive session. 12.All the participating Institutions has to necessarily switch on their video camera and microphone during the session. IIRS will connect the remote classes randomly to bring them under video wall mode for interaction. 13.The online examination will be conducted during first and last week of every month. No separate dates will be announced for the examination. The students can choose any date (s) for examination during identified slots. Continue... Page 1 of 414.Maximum of two attempts will be allowed for any online examination. The passing grade for the examination will remain 40%. IIRS may change it for any course as per the requirements. 45.The certificates will be issued in digital mode only. The coordinators will distribute the certificates to the participants after signing in the certificates. All the participating Institutions are expected to follow above guidelines and maintain the quality of the programme.
