CHILDREN OF HEAVEN (1997)

I. BACKGROUND OF THE FILM

“Children of Heaven” is touching film. Which tells the story of a brother and
sister who live in a poor of Teheran. Simple story and beautiful directed. The film
presents a sweet, strong of a little boy. This is unique solution to resolve of lost shoes.
The child actor is lovable to her sister. And totally convincing and the production of
film is if such quality.

This story it self humorous at times and very inspiring and heart touching through
the logic maybe simple. Each scene is infused with such passion, beauty and emotion
that the experience of films is simple.

II. BODY

The film is about young boy named Ali who’s accidentally lost her sister shoes.
It’s a beautiful example with the whole family especially the children , because it will
change the view of life, on family and on friendships.

Above all this beautiful and admirable film remind us the real drama. Comes not
from the film that examine the simplicity through the eye. Is about the kid who lost
the pair of shoes.

The shoes maker repairing a very old, beaten up pair of pink shoes. Ali pays the
shoemaker and run out of the shop, past the tattered curtain that serves for the door. A
little boy Ali goes to the grocer and hides the repaired shoe behind the box and so that
can buy some potatoes. Ali’s mother has not paid her bill. Ali see the shoes are
missing, he panic and the runs home with tears in his eyes.

Children of Heaven. Even though they both so little they love each other. The
middle of poverty affirm life, love , family and compassion.
III. ANALYSIS

“Children of Heaven” is the story about the two siblings and their family.
Showing how many poverty’s challenges can be met by person centered solutions. It
is a very good movie because anyone can relate to the topic of family and showing
love to each other. No matter the living circumstances. It shows the hard life of
siblings and their family.

When Ali accidentally misplaces the repaired shoes while picking up groceries.
He runs home and with tears in his eyes honestly tell her sister that he lost her shoes.
Ali did not know what to do. The family cannot afford to buy a shoes because they
are poor. They cannot earn more money because the mother is Ill. The community
support Ali and his family. Most of all family relies on each other. His father invites
him to go gardening with him and in turn Ali helps secure a new client so his father
can make extra money. In these way the movie of Children of Heaven demonstrate
how seemingly impossible problem can often be overcome by relying on human
ingenuity, community and family.

The message of this movie that shows us real life and also remind us of our
childhood and all the problems, we had then. Even the story is simple. They can feel
the emotion, humorous, sad and inspiring.

It shows is a very natural but dramatic way how poverty and culture. Ali people
shows feeling. And his really looked at the world from a child perspective. In this
story, we found a sweetness and innocence why do we teach in your children to see
through things, before they even learn to see them? Among many fascinating notes
about the filmmaking he shared the inspiration for “Children of Heaven”. And good
things that stands out is the high moral value of children and burden of
responsibilities. They need to shoulder from such a young age.

IV. CONCLUSION

To sum it all up the film “Children of Heaven” is a movie that depicts the raw and
real love of a family. Despite the circumstances and hindrances that one family face
in the society, in this case, poverty or the lack of financial support for their children,
they didn’t fail to show that you can convey your care and love toward your family
members in other way, not only in material things.

The film is about a home without unhappiness. It is about a siblings that loves
each other unconditionally and they do that instead of having a quarrel between them
both. Any child that have a siblings can identify with this film because the situations
in this film is very much like in the real world where living in till this day.
 This film shows sweetness, innocence and love between two siblings that despite
having a poor family, they didn’t let that get in the way of them being unhappy and
dissatisfied of what they have.

It shows that being understanding and forgiving to your love ones always bring an
endless happiness and fruitful love between you and that person. That even social
status can’t affect. It clearly shows and wakes us up that we don’t need money or
riches to find true happiness in our own blood and flesh. That giving little child
responsibilities and burdens in this cruel life won’t be a benefit on them especially
with their young age and lack of knowledge in the real world we live in.

It also tell us that being honest at all times will bring us prosperity and will help
us avoid situations in which guilt will eat us alive. And this shows how important
trusting are. Trusting the person you’re close with, the person you value.

In conclusion, it is a film that taught us that despite poverty, being satisfied and
contented with what you have will bring you great happiness and genuine love form
your family, that accepting what you have will show you a path of humility and
modesty in life. We don’t need material things given and handed to us to know our
worth and importance to someone especially to our own family.

“Poverty is one of the most abundant problem we are facing today. With this, it
limits us in being progressive in the Contemporary Globalization especially with all
the hindrances right now. Contemporary Globalization is important in our economy
and in this film it showed the lack of economical focus on families that are in need of
financial support. Contemporary Globalization is limited in this film because it fails
to focus on the economical growth that could support the financial problems of the
families in one nation.”
