I tried recording Merchandise at the SXSW Levitation showcase where I recorded a

few other bands, but for some reason it cut off after a few seconds. This concert
was originally scheduled for last December but was cancelled after Carson Cox fell
off stage at a gig. Thus I was glad that I got a chance to attend and record this
rescheduled show, even though I saw them twice at SXSW. I stood front and center
and the mix is good, although the vocals are a little dark. There is some mic
handling noise, but rarely during songs and not very distracting. Thankfully
audience chatter was minimal and mostly overwhelmed by the music.

I like the recording more than I enjoyed the performance live. Even though this set
is fairly short (about 50 minutes) it's the first "full" (i.e. non-festival)
recording of the band I've heard yet.
