SEMINAR PROPOSAL
I. TITLE
“Investments: A GO or a NO in the new normal”
II. RATIONALE
Investing in stock market may seem daunting for a lot of people because of the
high risk and unguaranteed outcome that it may result. This is because of the
stereotypes and misconceptions that have been keeping people out of it. The economy
of the Philippines and whole world greatly fluctuated when Covid-19 started spreading,
causing a lot of investors in the different business fields lose their money. This became
an unspoken warning for people to keep out from the stock market for the time being.
Given this input, is it really a wise decision or just a shot in the dark to invest in midst of
this pandemic? What business fields or industries have high probability of generating
income and dividends for their investors in this new normal and how can we help the
economy of the Philippines survive and rise through investment in stock market? This
seminar aims to decipher the pros and cons of investing in the stock market for
generating profit given the situation people are facing today.
III. OBJECTIVES
a. Identify what is investments and stock market and how it works.
b. Clarify the misconceptions and stereotypes about stock market.
c. How to invest in stocks considering the pandemic and identify the things people
need to consider when investing into stocks.
d. State relatable situational examples.
e. Enumerate business fields and industries that are in-demand in the new normal
that can give the profitable income.
f. Allow the audiences to digest the pros and cons of investing into stock markets
during the pandemic.
