1. What is a holacracy?
Ans : A holacracy is a system of corporate governance whereby members of a
team or business form distinct, autonomous, yet symbiotic, teams to
accomplish tasks and company goals. The concept of a corporate hierarchy is
discarded in favor of a flat organizational structure where all workers have an
equal voice while simultaneously answering to the direction of shared
authority. Holacracy has been adopted by for-profit and non-profit
organizations in several countries.
2. What benefits do you see to an organization where there are no
job titles, no managers and no hierarchy?
Ans : If there are no job titles, no managers and no hierarchy in an organization
so, there have some benefits as well. Without titles or a hierarcy , anyone can
initiate a project and implement innovative ideas. The hope is that circle
members will pool ideas and watchout for each other. Other benefits are self-
organizing teams, open-space work environment, and recognition. But I want
to add two more based on my thoughts. First is Team building and Second is
Motivation because teamwork is important in any company and with team
work it builds the relationship employees and there is no bossy or rude leader
you have freedom to express what you think or your opinion on your ideas for
company.
3. What challenges does a holacratic approach have?
Ans : Probably the greatest test for the Holarctic approach would need to be
the practicality of execution. Not all associations will be practical to have
holacracy actualized especially for huge scope associations. Also, the test of
having the option to meet up rapidly for something since everybody has their
own job and ventures is a test. Additionally, issues would emerge when are
difficult stretches happen and who will be answerable for this. Some challenges
is neither easy nor straightforward and, most importantly, requires time. In this
regard, examining the outcome of Zappos’ transition will stimulate further
discussion and help determine whether holacracy is a sustainable alternative to
the traditional organisation, or an interesting experiment which does not
necessarily fit every case.
