aspects during the discussion.

 What is new in the business environment of JH?

 Is entry into Philippines justified or not?
 What criteria should be used for selecting entry mode?
 What are the partnering options available for JH?
 What are the pros and cons of various partnering options?
 Carry out an analysis of suitability of partners considering their strengths and
complementary capabilities
 In which partnering option there is likelihood of major conflict and why?
 What would be the negotiating strategies of JH and Jardine?
 Do you think that each party is happy about the JV they plan to enter and why?
 Who will benefit more from the JV and why?
 What did you learn from this case – write in terms of general learning points in bullet
point form?

After case discussion in the class the group has to submit a 3-5 page group report on the case
discussion and learning points within one week.
