Today's Gospel shows us the threatening and dangerous context in which

Jesus lived and worked, but it also shows us a determined Jesus, sure of his

mission, very serene; free from fear, for despite the fact that his death was

imminent, He continued to care and help all the people who were suffering.

Today Jesus teaches us that it is an immense grace to persevere in

continuing to do good even in the face of difficulties that arise throughout

our lives.
