CHARLES DARWIN:

® Charles is sometimes considered the best biologist in history.

® Darwin liked to hunt and go on long walks, observe and collect things
from the natural world.

® In early 1828, just before his twentieth birthday, Charles Darwin enrolled
at Cambridge University to study a degree in arts.

® During his time at Cambridge, Darwin continued to pursue his scientific

interests, particularly in botany and zoology: his greatest interest was in
collecting different species of beetles.

® Although Darwin embarked on the Beagle journey as a recent graduate,

he returned as a well-known and respected scientist.

® Darwin married Emma Wedgewood on January 29 1839. He was aged

29 and she was 30. They were first cousins.

® Three of his sons, George, Francis and Horace, became notable

scientists and were elected members of the Royal Society. George
became an astronomer, Francis a botanist, and Horace an engineer.

® In 1842 he moved with his family to a country house outside London,

away from the smoke and dirt. He lived a quiet life, not socializing much,
concentrating on family life and writing books and scientific papers.

® In 1864 Darwin was awarded the Copley Medal, then the greatest honor
in science

moved to the State of Mexico due to my father's work. The most difficult thing to
move me was leaving my friends and family.
I started from the fifth grade of primary, and high school in my new residence,
until at university I decided to study it at CDMX.
I started university at UAM, but I stayed on the second exam attempt, I decided
