Cooking Lesson Plan

BASIC INFORMATION

Summary Students will be practicing their abilities to complete a step by


step procedures with a cooking activity.

Grade Level 3rd-5th Grade SDC

Time Frame 12:30 pm- 1:00 pm

Instructional Copies of visuals and written steps for the students to organize
Materials & Prep will be provided. Students will determine which steps to follow in
paper form before being given the ingredients to cook with. The
ingredients the students will put together includes butter, bread,
and cheese. I will bring a skillet and cook the sandwiches on it.

PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS

Differentiated For this lesson the students will be receiving small group
Instruction/UDL/ instruction. Students will be given turns to share each step of the
CSP/SDAIE cooking process. They will create their answers using visuals
and verbal cues. This is how my students unique needs will be
met.
ASSESSMENT

Assessment of Informal Assessment - I will be focusing on the language that is


Learning used amongst the students and how they sequence the events of
cooking. Data will be kept in regards to the students individual
goals.

LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Sequence of 1 - Students will be given a paper copy of the sequence of steps


Activities it takes to make a grilled cheese with accompanying visuals.
2- The students will cut the visuals and steps out and put them in
the correct order with the help of their shoulder partner or entire
group if needed.
3 - Students will then paste the visuals on their page.
4 - The students will verbalize what ingredients they need and we
will place them on the table.
5- Each student will ask for what they need and build their grilled
cheese.
6- The aides/teachers will grill the sandwiches for the kids.
7- Clean up time.

CLOSURE

Closure Discussion - Students will be asked to describe what


they did and talk about their favorite part.
