Hello!

My name is Allison Wahlgren, but you

can call me Miss Allie. I am excited to have the
opportunity to work with you. I am optimistic about
what we can achieve together. I want to make a
positive difference in the lives of all the young
people I have the opportunity to work with.
I am from Fergus Falls Minnesota. I attended
classes at Minnesota State Community and
Technical College during my last two years of high
school. Upon graduation I enrolled in the
Elementary Education program at Northern State
University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I will
graduate in the Spring of 2022 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education with a
minor in Special Education and an endorsement in
Kindergarten.
When I am not going to school or working, I
enjoy spending time with my friends, family,
boyfriend, and my two dogs – Oakley and Hazel!
Oakley is a 3-year-old German Short Hair, and
Hazel is a 2-year-old Silver Lab!
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can
remember. If you see me out in public I am usually
found with my planner, a cup of coffee, and my fur
babies! A couple of my favorite classes I have
enjoyed at NSU are United States History with Dr.
Ric Dias, and Government with Dr. Jon Schaff.
Professors at NSU have pushed me to become the
best teacher I can be and overcome the challenges of
teaching during a pandemic; a very unique situation
that has exposed me to many different teaching
methods.

Hazel smiling for the camera! Oakley making a disaster zone!
