The “Big 4”

Best Exercises To Build

Muscle
Introduction
Exercise #1: Deadlift
Exercise #2: Squat
Exercise #3: Bench Press
Exercise #4: Overhead Press
Introduction
There’s good exercises and then there is GREAT
exercises.

The Big 4 are by far the most effective muscle

building movements out there and should be
included in any workout routine.

That’s because they’ve stood the test of time and

they work.  They work damn well at that.  As full
body exercises, they work several muscle groups at
the same time and build total body strength and size.

The Big 4 give you the most bang for your buck and
are best if you want to grow muscle mass as soon as
possible.

Over the next few pages I will explain what they are
and how they work. I also included links to exercise
videos so you can learn proper form.

Enjoy!
#1 Exercise: The Deadlift

The deadlift works more muscles than any other

exercise, including the squat. It engages all of the major
muscle groups, making it the perfect full-boy lift. These
include your lower back, calves, glutes, hamstrings,
forearms, lats, quads and traps. As you can see the list
goes on and on. If I could only do one exercise, it would
definitely be the deadlift.

#2 Exercise: The Squat

Squats are perfect for a total lower body workout.

They effectively work most of the major muscle groups
such as your quads, calves, glutes and hamstrings.
Heavy barbell squats are perfect for maximum muscle
activation which will not only boost growth but also
increase testosterone production.

#3 Exercise: The Bench Press

There is a reason the first question you get asked in

the gym is: “How much do you bench?” The bench
press is the most complete upper body exercise out
there and it will target not only your chest but also
your triceps, shoulders and core. It’s the prefect
exercise if you want to look better shirtless and get the
V-taper look.

#4 Exercise: The Overhead Press

Want bigger shoulders?

Then the overhead press is going to be your best

friend. It’s a full body exercise where your shoulders
and arms press the weight over your head while your
legs, lower back and abs balance you. That makes it a
fantastic strength-and-muscle builder for the entire
upper body and core.
