Experience ⁕Electrical Engineering Co-op, Matthew Geraghty June 2019- ‣Throughout the Co-op position I performed EMI, ENV, and I/O Qualification Tests per MIL- January 2020 STD-461F on an Anti- Jam GPS device. This included setting up the support equipment and the device, as well as operating the device during the tests. I troubleshot RE102 and CS116 failures along with a both high and low temperature failures. I also lead parts of our EMI qualification tests and taught some engineers how to operate the device.
January 2020- ⁕EMI/EMC Electrical Engineering Intern, Jeffrey Clark
Present ‣I wrote a white paper comparing two test methods for Radiated Emissions allowed in MIL-STD- 461G. The analysis compares step scanning and a new methodology utilizing FFT. The analysis is meant to prove to customers that the change in test method does not affect the results of their devices. This involved testing different devices, along with ambient scans, to analyze the data and report how the FFT test method will affect the test results. ‣Another project I worked on was converting the labs TEM Cell into a mini reverberation chamber. This included, creating a tuner, a method to rotate the tuner consistently and validating the TEM Cell acts as a reverberation chamber. Currently, I am working on a few options for a final design to convert the TEM Cell into a reverberation chamber. The goal is to add capability to the test lab for achieving high power Radiated Susceptibility Reverb levels required for DO-160 qualification testing.

⁕Resident Assistant August 2017- ‣Assisted our coordinators with room checks, dorm May 2018 meetings, and dorm surveillance. ⁕Math and Science Tutor ‣Tutored any level of math from basic algebra to calculus. ‣Tutored physics and chemistry.
July (2012-2018) Individual Contractor for Remington Seeds, Vinton IA
⁕Detassellor, Aaron Boddicker ‣Walked through a field taking the tassels out of the plants. My crew was paid by the acre, so the more acres I detasselled the more I was paid. This process taught me how to work hard to make as much out of the opportunity as possible.
