Important Information about this Release

Dear Student,

Congratulations on receiving the Adams 2020 Student Edition, one of MSC Software’s
Student Edition offerings! This delivery letter will help you get acquainted with your software
package. We want to make sure you are aware of all the valuable resources available to
support your use of the Adams Student Edition.

Please note the following details regarding Adams 2020 Student Edition:

 The license for this product will be valid through January 31, 2022.
 This software is available only for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating
systems
 This version should be used only for academic work
 The student edition is designed for small, academic simulations only
o Therefore the following limitations are placed on the size of any single model:
 No more than 20 bodies, including ground
 Less than or equal to1000 geometry curves
 No more than 500 surfaces
 No more than 100 solids
 The sum of all flexible bodies’ nodes must be no more than 5000
nodes
o The number of bodies limit makes using Adams Car impractical; thus, Adams
Car is not available in student edition
o The number of bodies limit makes using the following capabilities impractical:
 Adams Machinery Belt discretized methods (i.e., all but the coupler
and simplified methods)
 Adams Machinery Cable discretized method
 Adams Machinery Chain

Adams 2020 Student Edition の詳細は、以下のとおりです。

• この製品のライセンス有効期間は、2022 年 1 月 31 日までです。
• この製品は、Windows 7 および 10 64-bit プラットフォームに対応しています。
• この製品は、教育機関における学業用途のみにご使用いただけます。
• この製品は、小規模の学術的シミュレーションのみを対象として設計されています。
o したがって、単一モデルのサイズには次の制限があります。
 グラウンドを含め、20 ボディ以下
 1000 以下のジオメトリカーブ
 500 サーフェス以下
 100 ソリッド以下
 すべての弾性体の節点数の合計は、5000 節点以下
o ボディ数の制限により、Adams Car の使用は実用的ではありません。したがって、
Adams Car は Student Edition では利用できません。
o ボディ数の制限により、以下の機能は実用的ではありません。
