Prayer For A Happy Home

Prayer To Saint Joseph, Patron Of A Happy Home.

Dear Saint Joseph, God the Father chose you from all
men to be the husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus.

You cared thoughtfully and wholeheartedly for them while

on Earth. It was through you that Jesus first learned of
His Heavenly Father’s gentles, compassion, protection,
and provision. So close were you that He was known
simply as the Carpenter’s son.

We now ask your help in these our requests. Please

intercede before our Heavenly Father for His protection,
provision and peace. Help us make our home wherever it
may be a happy home so its suitable for our needs.

Grant us harmony and grace in our home, and may we be

ever hospitable to family, friends and neighbors.

Finally, when our life on this earth is over, bring us safely

to our heavenly home, where at last we shall enjoy eternal
joy with you and all the family of God.

Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us. Saint

Joseph, Patron of a Happy Home and safeguard of
families, pray for us.

O Saint Joseph, we pray this Prayer For A Happy

Homethrough your name and in the name Jesus Christ, -
AMEN

NOVENA PRAYER TO ST RAPHAEL

O Glorious St. Raphael, Patron and Lover of the Young, I call

upon thee and plead with thee for thy help.In all confidence I
open my heart to thee, to beg thy guidance and assistance in
the important task of planning my future. Obtain for me
through thy intercession the light of God’s grace, so that I may
decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner
through life. O Angel of Happy Meetings, lead us by the hand
to find each other. May all our movements be guided by thy
light and transfigured by thy joy. As thou didst lead the young
Tobias to Sara and opened up for him a new life of happiness
with her in holy marriage, lead me to such a one whom in
thine angelic wisdom thou dost judge best suited to be united
with me in marriage.
St. Raphael, loving Patron of those seeking a marriage partner,
help me in this supreme decision of my life. Find for me as a
helpmate in life that person whose character will reflect the
traits of Jesus and Mary. May he (she) be upright, loyal, pure,
sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with chaste
and unselfish love, we both may strive to perfect ourselves in
soul and body, as well as the children it may please God to
entrust to our care.
St. Raphael, Angel of chaste courtship, bless our friendship
and our love, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual
love bind us so closely that our future home may ever be most
like the home of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Offer thy
prayers to God for both of us and obtain the blessing of God
upon our marriage, as thou wert the herald of blessing for the
marriage of Tobias and Sara.
St. Raphael, Friend of the Young, be thou my friend, for I
shall always be thine. I desire ever to invoke thee in my needs.
To thy special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to
my future wife (husband). Direct me to the person with whom
I can best cooperate in doing God’s Holy Will, with whom I
can live in peace, love, and harmony in this life and attain to
eternal joy in the next. Amen.
In honor of St. Raphael recite one Our Father, Hail Mary, and
Glory be.
O Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You
to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light
of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through
life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to
be united with me in marriage. May her/his character reflect some of the traits of Your own
Sacred Heart. May s/he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts
and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as
well as thechildren it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before
marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our
future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.
O Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I
am to make as to my future wife/husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to
the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God's Holy Will, with whom I can live in
peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next.
Amen.
His mind – Lord, I pray that my husband will have complete
understanding and will know Christ, who holds all wisdom and
knowledge (Colossians. 2:2-3). I pray that he will take every
thought captive and make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians.
10:5). Help him fix his thoughts on eternal and not earthly things
(Colossians. 3:2) and on that which is true, good, right, lovely, and
praiseworthy (Philippians. 4:8). I pray that he will be transformed
by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2).

His eyes – I pray that his eyes will turn away from worthless things
(Psalms. 119:37) and be able to see wonderful things in Your word
(Psalms. 119:18). Cause him to fix his eyes on the eternal instead
of the temporary (2 Corinthians. 4:18). Help him be alert to watch
for the snares of the enemy (1 Peter. 5:8).

His ears – Give him the faith that comes by hearing Your word
(Rom. 10:17). I pray that he will hear Your voice (Revelation.
3:20), listen (Is. 50:5), and obey (James 1:22,25).

His mouth – Lord, set a guard over his mouth and keep watch over
the door of his lips (Psalms. 141:3). Help him to speak Your word
with boldness (Acts 4:29) and give him Your words so he will speak
the gospel without fear (Ephesians. 6:19). Let the words of his
mouth and the meditation of his heart be acceptable to You
(Psalms. 19:14). Cause him to abstain from dirty talk and jokes
(Ephesians. 5:4), but instead let his words be full of grace
(Colossians. 4:6), being prepared to give the reason for the hope he
has (1 Pet. 3:15).

His heart – Father, help my husband love You with all his heart,
soul, and strength (Deut. 6:5). Guard his heart, for it is the
wellspring of life (Proverbs. 4:23). Thank you for giving him a new
heart and spirit and for taking his heart of stone and giving him a
heart of flesh (Ezekiel. 36:26-27). Create in him a clean heart
(Psalms. 51:10). Help him to trust You with all his heart and not
lean on his own understanding (Proverbs. 3:5). I pray that the
peace of Christ would rule in his heart (Colossians. 3:15).

His arms – Help him not to trust in his own strength, but to know
that Your strength is made perfect in his weakness (2 Corinthians.
12:9).

His hands – May he lift up holy hands in prayer to You, Lord,

without anger or disputing (1 Timothy. 2:8). I pray he will reach
his hands out to the poor and needy as if he was doing it for You
(Matthew. 25:3-36).

His legs – Help him to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians.
5:7). I pray he will stand firm with Your armor on (Ephesians.
6:13). May he run with perseverance the race set before him
(Hebrews. 12:1).

His feet – Thank you, Lord, for setting his feet upon a rock, a firm
place to stand (Psalms. 40:2). Keep his feet from slipping (Psalms.
66:9) and may they be ready with the gospel of peace (Ephesians.
6:15).
