OBJECTIVE: Pick three of the technologies you identified that you most frequently use and
trace their original uses in the scientific study of our physical world.

.
1. Cloud-Based Computing. This is by far the most convenient technology NASA had
developed that I patronize especially in catering my academic needs. In simple words,
these are platforms that enables you to store and access data from the internet. It was
developed to provide an easily quantifiable and improved alternative to building
additional expensive data centers and to provide an easier way for NASA scientists
and researchers to share large, complex data sets with external partners and the
public. With online classes being held, open source cloud computing platforms are
being used like our UPV LMS; we are able to access learning modules, open forums,
send assignments, and do online lecturing, This technology contributed a lot towards
education and access to information.

2. Mobile Camera. Without NASA’s development of the CMOS image sensor—which

featured improved image quality and provided for complete miniature imaging
systems that operate quickly with low power demands—modern digital camera in its
compact form cannot be made. As we can recall, cameras are not as mobile as we
have them now; they are a handful and requires technical maneuvering. But now,
though it is more sophisticated technologically, they are now simplified for daily use.
They are now integrated in phones, computers, cars, etc. as a byproduct of NASA’s
development on camera technology that they call “a picture of innovation”. We cannot
really fathom enough how cameras today evolved through space and time.

3. Wireless Headset. Everything that is just wireless is particularly essential to me in

terms of how portable a gadget can be. No plugs, no tangles, no stress. This was
improved initially and became the channel of Neil Armstrong’s words on his Moon
Mission. Now we can see modifications from tech companies like the famous Airpods,
were bulky headsets are miniaturized into a pair of handy earplugs. Basically, the
development was a result of having complications with tangled wires and providing
more compact and comfortable headsets for pilots.

TEMPORAL SCALE

Temporal Scale:
The quark epoch began approximately 10−12 seconds after the Big Bang, later formed
into subatomic particles: Electrons, Neutrons, and Protons. From Subatomic particles,
they compose the atom. Atoms undergo fusion reactions that originated the light
elements which by gravitational force created the stars, from these light elements,
they further fuse by nuclear reactions causing their atomic nuclei to merge and form
heavy elements. As heavy elements take its physical form, the planets, the solar
system and the first galaxies took shape. After billions of years of fusing, life on earth
began.
Spatial Scale:
In order of magnitude or size, quarks are the smallest followed by subatomic particles
where electrons located outside the nucleus composed by protons and neutrons.
With fusion reactions, these subatomic particles merge creating atoms to elements.
These elements take physical form as heavier its atomic composition will become.
From organisms, to the portions of the earth, the earth, the solar system, stars, and
finally the galaxies
