How the landscaping process takes place

by T&T Grass Farms

Where does the grass come from?

The grass is produced organically in healthy farms, where the farmers take single grass leaves and plant them in
the soil. After the plantation process, the grass is watered, and fertilizers are added into it after a while. The
commonly used fertilizers include Diammonium phosphate (DAP), the world's most widely used phosphorus
fertilizer, and Urea, which is the most important nitrogenous fertilizer in the market as it improves growth and is
suitable for all kinds of soil. After some time, the single grass leaves become dense and grow exponentially,
covering the entire area and thus becoming a grass carpet in one week to one month.

Why install the organic grass carpet?

After the grass is fully grown, the farmers sell it to customers who require the grass carpets on an instant basis
without waiting for months for it to grow. It is preferable to buy and install a full grass carpet instead of some
patches as they can be difficult to manage, and you will have to wait for 1.5-2 months for it to grow. Apart from
that, not many people have the knowledge to grow those patches, as to how much water would be needed, how
much sunlight would be required, etc. Thus, some patches may not work, if proper care is not given to them. So,
it's best to install a fully grown grass carpet.

Types of grass carpets we offer

We offer two types of grass. First is the Fine dhaka grass, a fast-growing and drought-resistant grass with a fine
texture and soft feel. It needs 4-6-hours of direct sunlight and doesn’t grow well in the dusk. It also changes
color in winter and becomes a little brown. Since it grows quickly, it needs mowing after 7-10 days. It is
comparatively less dense and cheaper and is mostly favored for big lawns and gardens. The second type of grass
we offer is the Korean grass, also called the Japanese lawn grass, which has harder and bigger leaves, it is
denser and has a slower growth rate, but on the upside, you only have to cut it after 15-20 days. It also doesn’t
require much sunlight and only needs 2-3 hours of sun exposure, thus growing well in the dusk and staying
evergreen in winters as well. It also does not require frequent fertilization and is better suited for lawns and to
do other physical activities, like yoga, etc.

How does the grass get transported?

Once an order is received from a customer, the fully ready grass carpet is cut, rolled, and loaded into trucks to
reach the destination. We provide transport facilities and determine charges according to the distance and the
quantity of grass which needs to be transported. The customer determines the quantity needed depending upon
the size of his/her farm or lawn. We deliver all over Pakistan.

How does the installation process take place?

Once the grass is transported and delivered, the installation can be done by the customer himself or by us,
depending upon the customer’s preferences. However, the customer must prepare the ground in advance, for the
grass to be placed. To prepare the ground, sand and soil should be added and mixed in equal quantity as the soil
on its own can become a little hard when mixed with water, which is not suitable for the grass growth. It is also
essential that the ground is leveled, so the grass carpet does not get swamped in one place when watered or in
the case of rain. Once the ground is ready, the grass is placed, and after a week, fertilizer is added. The grass
starts growing after a period of 7 to 10 days after installation. After one month, the grass is detected for any
weeds growing, fungus, or insects, and then sprays, fungicides and insecticides, are used to deal with those
problems. Thus, the grass needs monthly maintenance through mowing and other ways, as previously
mentioned.
