THE TREASURY OF BLESSINGS

A MEDITATION ON SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA

AH

In the manner of the illusory unity of unborn emptiness and the unceasing manifestation of
interdependent origination,

The matchless Teacher, Lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon amidst an ocean of clouds of
offerings.

Gold in color, he is endowed with the major and minor marks, wears the three dharma robes,
and sits in the vajra position,

His right hand is well extended in the earth subduing gesture, and his left hand rests in the
meditation posture, holding an alms bowl of nectar.

Like a mountain of gold, he blazes in dignified splendor, and a web of the light rays of wisdom
encompasses the vastness of the sky.

Fully surrounded by his retinue, an ocean of assembled Noble Ones such as his Eight Spiritual
Sons, and the Sixteen Arhats,

He is clearly the great Lord who embodies all sources of refuge, the bestower of the splendor of
supreme joy.

Mere mindfulness of him brings freedom from the two extremes of samsara and nirvana.

Homage to the Compassionate Teacher who holds to this degenerate, contentious world with
great compassion, who made five hundred great prayers, was eulogized like a white lotus, and
the hearing of whose name prevents future regression.

I and others offer our assembled virtue of body, speech, and mind, together with our enjoyable
possessions, visualizing them as clouds of all the good offerings.

From my heart I confess with strong regret each and every sins and failing committed
throughout beginningless time.

I rejoice in the virtue accumulated by the Noble Ones and by ordinary people throughout the
three times.

Please continuously turn the wheel of the profound and vast dharma in the ten directions.

Your wisdom body, like the sky, certainly exists without change throughout the three times,

And although you displayed the manner of birth and death to the perception of those to be
trained, may you always manifest the two bodies of emanations!

In order to benefit all living beings, filling space, with the accumulation of virtue I gather
throughout the three times,
May I always please the King of Dharma and reach the level of the Dharma Lord, the
Conquerors.

Due to the great kindness with which you particularly hold to us, degenerate and protectorless
begins, the Triple Gem has appeared at this place and time.

Since this is all your activity, if I pray from my heart with believing faith, to you as the single,
matchless, supreme refuge,

May you not forget your previous great vow, and hold to me with compassion until
enlightenment.

I make prostrations, offerings, and take refuge in the Guru, the Teacher, the Victorious One, the
Tathagata, the Arhat, the completely perfect Buddha, the Conquerors Shakyamuni.

LA MA TON PA JOM DEN DAY

DE SHIN SHEK PA DRA JOM PA
YANG DAK PAR DZOK PAY SANG GYAY
PAL GYAL WA SHA KYA TUP PA LA CHAK TSAL LO
CHO DO KYAB SU CHIO

Count one repetition of the names with each prostration.

TEYATA

OM MUNE MUNE MAHA MUNAYE SVAHA

Recite as many times as you are able.

Repeating the names and reciting the dharani causes a great radiance of multi-colored light rays
of wisdom to shine from the form of the Teacher.

They clear away all the obscurations of myself and all sentient beings, the qualities of the
Mahayana path are perfectly born in our minds, and we reach the stage of no regression.

May I and others awaken Bodhicitta just like the Tathagatas and their Spiritual Sons, and come
to have deeds, prayers, wisdom, love and ability, the same as their magical manifestations of
unexcelled wisdom.
