Now that we are in the midst of a global crisis, our mental health is more

challenged. We are like in a maze trapped in uncertainly that blocks us from the life we
are bound to experience. Thus, creating personal conflicts within.

Treasuring our mental health should be at par with prioritizing our physical
health, not only in this pandemic, but more significantly in everyday life. Mental health
illnesses in the Philippines have been taken into account as the third most common
form of morbidity and sadly, one of the causes of death from teenagers to adults.
Hence, a call for an immediate response prioritizing one’s mental health should be
amplified.

This October, as we celebrate the Mental Health Awareness Month, let it be

known that we can #SurviveAndThrive all forms of mental crises with the help of our
family, friends, and with God. Know that someone cares for us and loves us with that,
we should not be afraid to share what’s bothering us from within. Just like this
pandemic, our challenges and problems will soon pass.

As life becomes unsteady, it is okay to stumble and fall, because that’s how life
works. But do not be afraid to rise because someone is rooting for you and supporting
you as you revolve around this changing world.
