There are plenty of groups in the periodic table, 9 to be exact.

These groups are the alkali


metals, Alkaline earth metals, Transition metals, Basic metals, Boron group, Non-metals or
hydrogen, Halogens, Noble gas and then the inner transition metals. All the groups before the
stairs on the periodic table, are all very similar because they are metals and are highly reactive.
The atomic radius is a trend on the periodic table, when you go from the top of the periodic table
to the bottom the atom gets bigger, then as you go across the periodic table the atoms get
smaller and smaller.
